Wearing a mask is mandatory when using public transportation and taxies.
From 20th July and onward, it is also obligatory to wear a mask in supermarkets.
However, the use of mask is also highly recommended in public spaces that are overcrowded, such as shopping malls.

There are several types of masks that can be used towards protection from COVID-19. The best protection is provided by the surgical grade N95, followed by regular surgical masks. However, since these masks are rather expensive and contribute to landfill waste, it is suggested to use washable face masks. The most common symptoms are

  • fever
  • dry cough
  • tiredness


However, other, less common, symptoms have also been obeserved such as

  • aches and pains
  • sore throat
  • diarrhoea
  • conjunctivitis
  • headache
  • loss of taste or smell
  • rash on skin or discoloration of fingers or toes


Finally, the most serious symptoms are the following

  • difficulty in breathing or shortness of breath
  • chest pain or pressure
  • loss of speech or movement

If you show any sign of the serious symptoms related to COVID-19, you should immediately contact a doctor or visit a local hospital. Nevertheless, if the symptoms are mild and there is no serious health history of diseases, especially related to respiratory system, you should recover at home.

On average, it takes 5-6 days from the day of infection for symptoms to show. However, it can also take up to 14 days. Therefore, if you have think you have been in touch with someone infected by COVID-19, you have to stay in self-quarantine for at least 14 days.

Moreover, you can apply as a volunteer to help people that belong in high-risk groups by delivering their grocery shopping or medicine.
